A list of safety warnings for calendars, notebooks and planners, based on the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety (GPSR).

1.  Choking hazard (for products with small parts): Take care that small items, such as stickers or paper clips, do not get into the hands of children, as they may pose a choking hazard.

2.  Take care when using sharp tools: When using scissors, knives or other sharp tools to cut pages or decorations, take particular care to avoid cuts.

3.  Material safety: Choose products made from non-toxic materials, especially if they are intended for children. Ensure that the paints and inks used in calendars and notebooks are safe and appropriately certified.

4.  Fire hazard (for products with electronic components): If a calendar or planner contains electronic components, such as LED lighting, do not leave it unattended to prevent the risk of fire.

5.  Store in suitable conditions: Protect calendars, notebooks and planners from moisture and extreme temperatures, which may damage the paper and other materials.

6.  Disposal: Dispose of used or unwanted calendars and notebooks in an environmentally friendly way by recycling them. Avoid burning paper in unauthorised areas.

7.  Safe use of pens and pencils: Remember to store pens and pencils safely, especially around children. Sharp tips may pose a hazard.

8.  Take care when using magnets (if present): If the product contains magnets, ensure that they are securely attached. Loose magnets may be dangerous to children if swallowed.

9.  If you notice an allergic reaction to the materials from which the product is made, stop using it.

10.  Beware of metal components (staples, spirals): Be careful of sharp metal components, such as staples or spirals, which may cause cuts.
